Frequently Asked Questions

What, When and Where?

The NUSS Trauma and Surgery Conference will be held at the Julian Study Centre, UEA.
-
​Registration for the event opens at 08:30 am, ​although the event is expected to start at ​09:10 am​ and finish at ​04:00 pm.
-
Lunch: ​​12:10 pm - 01:10 pm.
​
Afternoon Tea Break: ​02:40 pm - 03:00 pm ​

​A rough timetable was posted in our updates ​page.
​The day is expected to include talks from our involved ​speakers ​in the JSC Lecture theatre. 
The participants will then be divided into 4 groups to rotate around 4 workshops, each lasting 30mins.
​​Do I have to bring lunch?

​Lunch is being provided by Sainsburys​, ​additionally, participants can also bring their own lunch, or make use of the catering facilities on campus.

​​How can I prepare/What can I bring?

​​
​No prior knowledge or skill in trauma or surgery is required for this conference, all we ask for is your interest and participation.
However, you can​ bring and submit a poster abstract ​of work/research you have already completed to be presented on the day.

​We would suggest you bring the following items:
  • ​Email Confirmation of Ticket Purchase/ID
  • ​​​Notebook & Pen
  • ​Warm Clothing, Coat & Comfortable Shoes​ ​(As the road traffic accident simulation ​will be held outside​, prepare for weather.)
